Biography
I am an educational technology lecturer at Wayne State University. I spent eleven years as a secondary science instructor, teaching 8th grade science and 7th and 8th grade robotics at Swan Valley Middle School in Saginaw. I also was a technology coach and helped the school transition to 1:1 with iPads.
I have always thoroughly enjoyed working with kids. I taught classes at a local dance studio for numerous years throughout junior high, high school, and college, which helped me obtain experience working with children. I also had several wonderful science teachers throughout middle and high school who helped influence my choice in becoming a teacher. Their passion in the classroom was something I truly enjoyed and that I strive to continue in my own classroom.
I earned my Doctorate of Educational Technology degree through Central Michigan University in 2018. I finished my Master of Arts in Instructional Technology through Saginaw Valley State University in 2014 and I acquired the Educational Technology (NP) endorsement. I graduated from Alma College with a Bachelor of Science degree in April of 2006 focusing on secondary education and began working at Swan Valley in August of 2006.
